Years A, B, and C refer to the liturgical for which the book is designed. Each liturgical year runs from the beginning of Advent until the last day of ordinary time. For example, the Year B liturgical year will begin on Sunday, December 3, 2023 (the first day of Advent) and will end on Saturday, November 30 2024 (the last day of Ordinary Time).
So if a book is labeled with a specific year, then it is designed to guide you through the readings and Gospels for that year.
