Grateful Living: The Joy of Stewardship

Now Available

Grateful Living: The Joy of Stewardship explores a disciple's response to the gifts that God has given. This twelve-session resource leads participants through two seasons of faith sharing that will allow them to delve deeper into their own understanding of God's gifts and their response to that giving.

Season One Faith Sharing:Acknowledging God’s Gifts and Hearing God’s Call
All we have—our lives; our talents, skills, and resources; the world around us—are free gifts from God. We show our gratitude for these gifts by giving them back through acts of generosity and hospitality, supporting and caring for the Church, the earth, our communities, and each other. This is stewardship. We don’t exercise it at random but with hearts open to the particular call God makes to each of us.

Season Two Faith Sharing: Setting Life Priorities and Making a Commitment
A good steward honestly answers the question, “What do I own, and what owns me”? Stewardship requires us to identify things that keep us from gratefully acknowledging God for all he has given us, putting those things in their proper places, and committing ourselves to lives in which service—to God, the Church, our neighbors, and the earth—is our priority.
